DAY 25: Happy New Year!

‘Twas the evening before 2021, and all throughout the world… ah fuck it, this shit is over!!!!

2020 was supposed to be a year of milestones for a lot of us, and it turned out to be a collective turning point for all of us. The famous “pivot” mantra had me thinking of athletics and dancing more than it did my lifestyle strategy. And if anything, I just got pushed deeper into my love for creative pursuits and passion for both human rights and mental health.

2020 was a year marked with struggle in different ways for all of us and it is finally over. This doesn’t mean that the struggle is over, but (prayers up) we are closer to the solution than we were a year ago when Covid-19’s severity was being downplayed publicly. Now we all (well, most of us) know the serious nature of this virus and that we must protect ourselves and our loved ones through wearing a mask, washing hands, and social distancing etc. We know how best to proceed into the new year if that is our choice and I believe that it should be. While I tend to respect an individual’s autonomy even more than the next person, I believe that on this point there is no wiggle room.

This year’s New Year’s Eve may feel and be completely different for you from past years. You may be with family or a friend, or even spending it solo…but whatever you do, celebrate. Find a way and a moment to really celebrate you.

Best wishes to all of you on this special occasion! Check out all three videos in my Instagram post below for my NYE message!

See you in 2021!

Xo,

– Arielle

P.S. Oh… and one last thing…
